| Location Narrative |
Located in the Swede Creek Plains on the Hathaway Ranch. Plot consists of herbaceous vegetation growing in an ephemeral drainage, almost completely dry now. Dominant species are Eleocharis (macrostachya), and Eryngium castrense, with very few exotics. Ground is covered by rocks of various sizes. This vegetation appears along this drainage for some distance in rocky areas as a repeating pattern.; This site is actively grazed by cattle, and is under a conservation easement.
